Script Novel Studio is published by Script Novel Publishing. This policy describes what information the studio and its services handle, in plain language.
Projects are stored locally on your own computer, in the app's data folder, and are saved automatically as you type. We do not upload, read, or store your manuscripts on our servers by default, and we never sell your writing or use it to train models.
AI features work online. When you run one, the text included in that request is sent through our service to the AI provider that performs the work, and the result is returned to you. Requests are processed to complete your task.
To run accounts and plans, we keep your name, email address, plan and subscription status, credit balance, and the computers you have activated. Passwords are held by our sign-in provider in hashed form; we never see or store your password itself.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and are handled under Stripe's own privacy policy; we receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status, not your full card number.
Software downloads are delivered through short-lived, signed links issued to your account from private storage. We keep basic records of downloads and activations for support and to prevent abuse.
We share information only with the providers needed to run the service (sign-in, payments, and AI processing), and only what each one needs. We do not sell personal information.
